Since many of us are staying close to home this summer and the Northeast is in somewhat of a bubble compared to the rest of the country, I wanted to share some options for visiting upstate New York.

When you say New York most people will typically think you're referring to the city. However, there is much more to the state than its large metropolis. New York has played a significant role in American history, and throughout New York, you'll find historical landmarks, along with beautiful landscapes, and much more. Exploring the Wineries of Napa Valley

Napa Valley is a small quaint town that has much to offer for adults and families.  Napa Valley begins in the town of Napa and goes up past Calistoga, California.  There are two routes you can take to explore the wine country.  The first is St. Helena Hwy, and the other road is the Silverado Trail. Both offer numerous spectacular views of the valley along with some great stops for wine tastings.

The town of Napa is a great starting point where there are shopping, dining, and wine tastings, of course.  If you are looking for a casual place to dine, we discovered Gotts Roadside.  This small quaint establishment offers excellent burgers, fries, and the best milkshakes around.  If you are looking for a culinary experience, Napa is home to the Culinary Institute of American.  In partnership with American’s Taste Kitchen, you can partake in a day of foodie fun, while up-leveling your culinary skills. Also in town is a place called Oxbow Public Market; this was a great place to find wines, some great food, and even a small bookstore.

When we think of California, it’s not uncommon to fill our heads of images of the Hollywood sign, celebrities, and the infamous traffic jams of Los Angeles; however, the city of angels isn’t the only prime travel destination within the state.

San Diego has a rich history and a laidback style to match. Not only is it the birthplace of California, but it is also one of the first spots where Europeans stepped ashore on the entire west coast. Beyond its history, San Diego has a mass appeal that will allow everyone to find something within the city that they enjoy.

Are you ready to take the road trip that you have always talked about and book a vacation by yourself or with the family to explore the great outdoors? While it’s likely there are plenty of options for camping and other socially distanced outdoor activities near you, let us suggest hitting the road in a fancy wagon (or for those not stuck in the past, your car) and head west to Utah. What’s in Utah, you may ask? Most may be familiar with Salt Lake City, but there is a wider variety of sights and attractions within the Beehive state to keep you and your family occupied.
