Dublin City Guide

Welcome to the Dublin City Guide. This guide is packed with fun and needed travel information while in this wonderful city.

Dublin, the capital of Ireland, is a vibrant city with so much culture, history, and fun exploration. The stories, history, and folklore bring so much magic to a tour of Ireland.

In this guide, you will find a few of the many top attractions to see and do in Dublin, but there is so much more to explore. If you want to enjoy music, show, and general Irish hospitality, visit the Temple Bar area of Dublin. Depending on your interests, whether it is the numerous cathedrals, churches, castles, shopping, restaurants, or bars, you could spend several nights here to explore and enjoy all Dublin offers.
I have included a few of my favorite hotels in great locations around Dublin. Do you have a favorite Dublin hotel? If so, please share it with me.

There are several excellent restaurants I have included in the guide. There are many options if you are looking for a more casual atmosphere. First, try out The Market Bar, with its soaring ceilings and no music policy giving an unusually laid-back vibe to this bar. Then if you love books, The Winding Stair is a wholesome Irish restaurant in an airy room overlooking the River Liffey with a downstairs bookshop.

When many think of Dublin, whiskey and beer come to mind, but there are many food and beverage tastings and cultural experiences to be had in Dublin.

Ireland’s lush green is due partly to a very temperate and mild climate. Ireland rarely sees temperature extremes, so any season is a great time to visit.

The Euro is the currency in Ireland. Since all coins are similar, there is a simple way to quickly know which Euro is a One or Two Euro coin. If the coin has silver, it is the Euro coin. The one Euro coin has a silver centerpiece, and the 2 Euro coin has a silver circumference.

As you drive from Dublin to other parts of Ireland, you will experience the many pieces of highway art. There are several thousand pieces of art along the roadways in Ireland. The Irish artist created the highway art to showcase the culture of Ireland, from faith to the Irish way of life.

I hope you enjoy this Dublin City Guide.
