Four Kid-Friendly Bali Adventures

Bali
Bali, a small Indonesian island just east of Jakarta, is the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. With a wide variety of entertainment, nature, and culture, you’ll find something for everyone in the family. Here, you’ll learn four great kid-friendly activities in Bali.

Jump Aboard a Pirate Ship
Get ready to channel your inner Captain Jack Sparrow as you board the Pirate Dinner Cruise. Take your welcome drink and loosen up while donning your souvenir pirate gear. For $55 per person (half price for children), you’ll get a complimentary drink, a dinner buffet (including many vegetarian options), live music, fire dancers, pirate-themed games, and more.
The pirate ship sails around the south side of Bali, giving you an opportunity to explore Benoa Harbour. Choose between the early session (4:30-7:30pm) or the late session (7:30-10:30), depending on how you feel.

Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary
Located in Central Bali, just north of Denpasar, the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary is a great place to see the Balinese long-tailed monkey. In addition to over 700 monkeys living in the sanctuary, you’ll see almost 200 unique species of plants. Three temples are scattered throughout the sanctuary, where visitors can admire the centuries-old architecture and learn about local religions. Tours throughout the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary are self-guided, with visiting hours between 8:30am-6:00pm daily.

Pura Ulun Danu Beratan
For a lesson in culture, head to Pura Ulun Danu Beratan, located on the bank of Lake Bratan in Northern Bali. This Hindu Shaivite temple, constructed in 1633, was built as an offering to the lake and river goddess Dewi Danu. Statues in the temple pay respect to other figures, including Buddha and Shiva. When water levels rise, the temple looks as though it’s floating.

Waterbom Bali
If you want to beat the heat, why not visit a unique waterpark in Southwest Denpasar? Waterbom Bali has world-class water rides, a swim-up bar, and a variety of dining options. You can even learn how to surf. The water park maintains over 50% of its property as dedicated green spaces where animals live year-round. Rated by TripAdvisor as the #1 waterpark in Asia in 2017 and 2018, Waterbom Bali is open daily from 9:00am-6:00pm.

Whether you want education, adventure, or a relaxing evening, Bali is a great place to take kids on vacation. If you want to ensure the best experience possible, consider booking your trip with a travel agent. By working with you to understand the preferences of everyone in your group, we’ll work together to create a trip you’ll remember for years to come. Schedule your complimentary consultation today!
