One of my favorite places in the United States to go is Montana. There is a unique resort there about 90 miles south of Missoula in the town of Darby. This resort is Triple Creek Ranch. Years ago I stumbled upon this resort when I was looking online, and the link stated “Mountain Hideaway with Hot Tubs.” Well, I clicked on it, and I couldn’t believe it was in a town named after me. So I check out their site at www.triplecreekranch.com, and I was hooked. Triple Creek Ranch is an adult’s only luxury all-inclusive resort. Kids over 16 years of age are welcome, or you can reserve the entire ranch and bring the younger kids. This ranch is not the typical “Dude” ranch. It is a Relais & Chateaux property, and caters to their guests. The accommodations at Triple Creek are luxurious cabins with leather couches in the sitting area, wood burning fireplaces, four poster beds, whirlpool tubs and steam showers. The décor is Southwestern with a cowboy appeal. There is always wine or spirits in your cabin along with waters, sodas and munchies and best of all homemade cookies.
Whatever you like they will get for you as far as food and drink go. The meals at Triple Creek are all gourmet, eggs benedict for breakfast, a buffalo burger for lunch and a three-course dinner that starts with a great appetizer of home cooked gourmet soups, a salad and the several different entrees from salmon to rib eye steak. You cannot go hungry at Triple Creek since there was always something delicious to eat. The atmosphere at Triple Creek is laid back and casual. The bar is a favorite spot with a great bartender. The views from the lounge on the second floor of the lodge are fantastic to see down the valley. There are so many activities to do at Triple Creek that you will never be bored if you don’t want to be, or you can have all the relaxing and pampering you desire. If you are a wine lover, you can enjoy one of the Vintner Weekends. These weekend are a great experience to try new wines, meet the vintner and have some adventure in the Bitter Root Valley. The Ranch’s other signature events are Women’s Adventures, Artist Workshops, and Cooking Classes, all which include the luxury mountain hideaway. Any season of the year is a great time to visit Triple Creek Ranch. Check them out you will be hooked too. Share the knowledge
