There are several options in Florence to view the live webcams feeds of the city. The best website I found was Skyline Webcams. Webcam of Piazza Signoria Florence. Here you can view the Piazza del Duomo live along with other sites around the city. I will say it is sad to see the empty piazza with just the police guarding the area since Italy is still in quarantine. Another great way to explore a destination when you cannot be there is through reading. Here are some great books to read about Florence and all of its mystery and wonder. Brunelleschi’s Dome: How A Renaissance Genius Reinvented Architecture by Ross King. This book is about the goldsmith and clockmaker Filippo Brunelleschi, who was the visionary and craftsman of the Duomo. This is the story of his dream to build this magnificent structure. If you are looking for a mystery to read, The Monster Of Florence, by Douglas Preston, is an excellent Florence true story. This book tells the story of the most notorious serial killers. Lastly, the Medici Family is a well known wealthy family of Florence, and this story tells of how they came to power and what eventually became their downfall. The House Of Medici: Its Rise And Fall, by Christopher Hibbert.
